Our Mission

The mission of FosterHope Sacramento is to provide support to children, teens and families and facilitate healing of the spirit, mind and body to help them reach their fullest potential through an array of foster care and family support services.

FosterHope Sacramento provides therapeutically focused, foster care services to children, teens and families. We help promote healing so that foster youth reach their fullest potential in safe, nurturing surroundings. FosterHope Sacramento helps ensure that every child in our care lives with a sense of purpose and hope.

FosterHope Sacramento is a licensed, 501c3 nonprofit California foster family agency serving El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Yolo Counties since 1985. Care homes are located from Stockton to Shingle Springs and from Tahoe City to Sacramento. FosterHope both recruits and certifies dependable, loving foster parents within the community while also supporting the children who live in these foster homes.

In 2013, FosterHope Sacramento operated with a budget of almost $2.5 million, seven full-time and two part-time staff, and 14 social workers who provided in-home services as independent contractors. During 2013, FosterHope had an average of 64 foster families serving 110 foster children.
