Support for Foster Parents

Becoming a foster parent through FosterHope Sacramento allows you to be a part of an organization that believes in integrity, accountability, creativity, and hope. We consider our foster parents to be members of the foster care team.

Although serving as a foster parent does have its challenges, you will be supported by a team of professionals to help you along the way. You will be assigned an in-home, masters-level social worker who will make weekly visits. You’ll also have the assistance of a masters-level case manager, who will help with many aspects of caring for the child(ren) in your home. FosterHope Sacramento provides 24-hour crisis support, extensive training year round, foster parent mentors, and ongoing support. We also sponsor an annual weekend retreat/conference for all our foster families where they can relax and be re-inspired.

FosterHope works to heal and inspire our youth through treatment goals, activities and placement in loving, caring homes. Foster children need warm, patient parents; foster parents often become a child’s greatest hope.
