Treatment for foster children relies on a team of social workers and case managers who: (1) provide in-home counseling and crisis management;
and (2) help plan a positive, permanent future for these children. FosterHope Sacramento provides placement services and support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
A social worker meets weekly in the home with the foster parents and foster child(ren), and reports monthly on each child’s progress. The entire treatment team works with the foster parents to help each child achieve the treatment goals and a permanency plan. Quarterly conferences are held to review and update the treatment goals and assess progress on the permanency plan. Success is achieved when the child is reunited with his or her natural parents, is adopted by a family, or becomes emancipated as an adult with a stable future.
