Our Programs

Why choose FosterHope Sacramento? We offer a personalized, humanistic approach to foster care. We view our foster families as experts and value their knowledge, opinions and input. We have an open door policy with all of our families and pride ourselves on longevity (our longest-term family has been with us for over 23 years). Our facility provides visitation rooms that “feel like home”.

We provide all the resources you need to succeed. Events, respite, and training are just a part of helping families to stay strong, feel supported and be able to better manage the difficult times. Our foster families, together with our wonderful staff, create community pride while encouraging and supporting each other to foster the future.

Respite Care

Just like any parent, foster parents need time to rest and recharge from providing ongoing daily care to a child. Respite caregivers provide short-term care, typically evening or weekend care, for a child currently living with another foster family. Providing respite care is a great way to see if foster parenting is right for you.

Assembly Bill 12 created California’s Extended Foster Care (EFC) Program which allows eligible. to remain in foster care until age 21.  The youth in the AB 12 program need your help in obtaining employment, completing high school and going on to secondary education.  Be a mentor, be a lifeline and help keep our kids off the streets.
